Water & Drain Line Repair and Replacement

If the pipes in your home are damaged or deteriorating, a Pro Rooter professional can examine your water and drain lines and then provide you with options for taking care of the problems, whether that involves spot repairs or the replacement of failing water and drain lines.

Re-piping

Why replace old worn out water pipes? When considering the quality of water being used in your home, it only makes sense to have the best for your family's health.

Besides the potential for water damage, here are four reasons why you should change out old, corroded pipe in your home:

  1. Water Quality: Micro biologically influenced corrosion has been identified as a major factor in water health quality.
  2. Fixture Damage: Old pipes can destroy your plumbing fixtures and appliances. Bathtubs, tile, toilets, sinks, dishwashers and clothes washers become stained and can require extensive cleaning or replacement.
  3. Efficiency - Corroded pipes destroy the effectiveness of your water system. Corroded pipe reduces the allowable water passage creating low water pressure and low water volume.
  4. Home Value: The presence of rotting, corroded pipe reduces the value of your home.

The plumbing experts at Pro Rooter are re piping specialists. We will put together a complete site evaluation and implementation schedule, and will complete the project with a little disruption to your home and daily routine as possible.

Trench less Sewer Replacement

It used to be that, if you had to replace your sewer line, a deep trench had to be cut from your house to your street. Besides ripping up your lawn, the trench often had to cut through your walk or driveway as well as your landscaping.

Pro Rooter offers an alternative: trench less sewer replacement. Basically, we make two holes, one at your house and the other near the street. Then, with a powerful motor, we pull new pipe through the ground, and connect to the places where your old pipe was attached. The new pipe is flexible, strong, and virtually unbreakable. This can all usually be done in one day, for less money than the old method, and is a whole lot less disruptive to your property.

Sewer & Drain Cleaning

Clogged or sluggish drains? That’s Pro Rooter’s specialty.

Slow draining water and back-ups generally mean there is an obstruction somewhere in the pipeline. Our first line of attack is to unclog the pipe using a “snake”; that’s a bendable steel cable with flexible rotating blades that we feed into the pipeline. We have different size blades to adjust to any size pipe. As the snake makes it way through your pipeline, its spinning blades slice throughout whatever obstructions it encounters and opens your line again.

But why just open your line when you can clean it?

Over time, grease, sediment, and debris can build up in your drain lines. Pro Rooter’s high pressure Hydro Jetting services can help you clean out your drains by:

  • Pulverizing roots and debris
  • Emulsifying grease build-ups
  • Blasting away hardened scale

Hydro jetting’s intense water pressure not only removes stubborn obstructions and debris from the pipe wall, but it flushes the debris out of the system, leaving your lines clear. This way, the debris is completely removed from your system, minimizing your chances of blockage in the future.

Free Inspection

Pro Rooter offers free inspections to diagnose your home’s plumbing problems. We’ll inspect your plumbing system and fixtures, identify the trouble and provide you with a free written estimate BEFORE we do any work.

We charge by the job... not the hour, so you save.

Pro Rooter also provides state-of-the-art video inspections of you home’s plumbing system. Video inspection involves inserting high-tech fiber optic cable into you pipes and “snaking” it down through your lines. Our technician then watches on a video monitor as the fiber optic cable transmits back a crystal clear image of the “inside” of your home’s plumbing system. Video inspections help us precisely locate leaks and other problems in you pipes without having to tear up your house or yard.

Pro Rooter also offers preventive maintenance inspections. Why wait for a problem to occur? If you have an older home, particularly a multi-story structure, have us perform a thorough home inspection of all your pipes and plumbing fixtures to insure that they are all in good working order. We’ll identify any current problems and any potential future problems, and then set up a schedule so that we can repair the problems all at once or – depending on your priorities - over a period of scheduled visits. Many times a very simple and inexpensive preventive repair – like replacing a worn washer, or re-caulking a sink – can save you thousands of dollars in later repair costs caused by unchecked water damage.

Water Heaters

Water heating is typically the third largest energy expense in your home. And heating your water typically accounts for about 14% of your utility bill. That’s why it’s important that your water heater runs efficiently and that you have the right water heater to fit your home and family’s lifestyle.

Pro Rooter’s plumbers are knowledgeable in all types of water heaters and are experts in their repair and replacement.

Basically, there are two types of water heaters - gas and electric - with dozens of different models and sizes. Gas and electric water storage tank heaters operate in similar ways and range in size from 20 to 80 gallons. An electric water heater can be used most anywhere, whereas a gas water heater is typically installed in a home that already uses gas (though our piping professionals can run new gas lines for you if you prefer a gas appliance).

Repair

Is your water not hot enough or do you run out of hot water too quickly? Is the hot water discolored? Call Pro Rooter for a free inspection of your hot water system. We’ll examine your current water heater and offer options and recommendations for fixing the problem.

Installation

Need a new water heater? An improperly installed water heater can lead to less than adequate hot water, water leaks, and property damage. We offer the availability of same day installation and have certified installation professionals waiting to ensure the installation of your water heater meets all local plumbing codes and stringent manufacturer guidelines.

Bracing for Earthquake Safety

A 50-gallon water heater holds about 400 pounds of water. In an earthquake, it’s quite possible for an unbraced water heater to fall over, with the potential of serious injury and property damage. Additionally, if a gas-type water heater falls over it could very easily damage the gas connection and create a dangerous gas leak.

State and local building codes require all water heaters to be properly braced. Check your existing water heater. If you’re in an older home, it may not be braced. If your current water heater is not properly secured, call us today and we’ll have your water heater safely and securely braced in no time.

Gas Line Installation

Do you need to install new or replacement gas lines, or run an additional gas line to a new gas stove or fireplace? When it comes to installing new gas lines to household appliances, or making repairs to an existing gas line, you can trust the re piping specialists at Pro Rooter to do the job right.

Dealing with natural gas is not something you want to take chances with. An improper installation or repair is not only inconvenient, but it can be extremely dangerous.

Our technicians are properly trained, licensed and prepared to solve any gas piping requirement you have. Pro Rooter fully guarantees our work and compliance with all local code requirements.
